Privacy

Your rules stay with you.

Phone numbers and rules are stored on this iPhone and shared only with the app's call and message extensions. We do not read your Contacts or call history. Message content is checked on the device and is not saved or sent to a server. You can remove each rule in My rules.

Number notes and caller names

Names, phone numbers, private notes and favorites are stored on your device. Only the number and display name you choose are provided to iOS caller identification; private notes are excluded. The share extension reads only the number or contact card you share, not your full address book or call history. You can edit and delete entries in Number notes. Optional iCloud backups include names, numbers, notes and favorites.

Advertising

The main app uses Google AdMob. Google may process device, IP address, ad interaction and diagnostic data to serve ads, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements. From version 1.0.1, we may use the advertising identifier for personalized ads, subject to your advertising consent and iPhone tracking permission. Without permission, non-personalized or limited ads may be shown. You can change tracking permission in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Where required, Google presents consent choices. You can revisit available choices from Settings. Call and message extensions do not contain the advertising SDK.

Backup in your iCloud

Selected blocking rules and number notes are backed up separately to your iCloud Drive. Note backups include names, numbers, notes and favorites. Apple’s storage policies apply. Automatic backup can be turned off.

Optional support

Blocking and 100 number notes are free. A one-time purchase removes ads; another option removes ads and unlocks the free 100-note limit. The storage limit is 5,000 entries and 24MB. The higher option is a separate purchase at the full displayed price, without credit for an earlier purchase. Eligible purchases can be restored using the same App Store Apple Account. Optional tips after benefits are owned are repeatable one-time purchases and add no features. There is no subscription. Apple displays local prices and handles payment; QuietCall does not receive card details.

For advertising data details, see Google’s policy. This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process IP addresses and technical request data for delivery and security. This site includes no ads or analytics tools.

Setup & how it works

1. Add call rules in My rules. 2. Open Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification. On iOS 17, Phone is directly in Settings. 3. Enable QuietCall - Number blocking. 4. Return to My rules and tap Apply call list again.

For messages: open Settings → Apps → Messages → Unknown & Spam (the name varies by iOS version). Enable filtering of unknown senders and select QuietCall as the SMS filter. Only one message filter can be selected. Add sender or word rules in My rules.

No rules are enabled for you automatically. Wide patterns can block wanted numbers. Hidden numbers, FaceTime, iMessage and calls handled by other apps are outside this app's control. iPhone does not give QuietCall a call history or blocked-call count.

Allowed numbers come first

QuietCall always excludes allowed numbers from its call blocking and message filtering.

Block 070-7744, but allow 070-7744-1234: that number is excluded. Its messages are allowed even when a keyword matches.

What iPhone controls

QuietCall cannot override iPhone's blocked contacts, carrier filters or other calling apps. An allow entry cannot force those systems to accept a call. Hidden caller IDs cannot be matched. iPhone controls how numbers in Contacts are treated. Message filtering covers eligible SMS/MMS from unknown senders. It does not filter iMessage or messages from contacts. Alphanumeric sender names cannot match a numeric allow entry.

The list was not fully applied. An older list or only part of this list may remain. Check Settings and apply again.

Korean basic blocking groups

07041, 07044, 07047, 07077 and 07078 cover 1,000,000 numbers each. 02-3390 covers 10,000 numbers, from 02-3390-0000 to 9999. These optional, user-requested groups are not confirmed spam lists.

These are not confirmed spam lists. Caller IDs can be spoofed and legitimate calls may be blocked. Allowed numbers always come first. Guidance is updated with app releases.
